Sue Towner chosen as Conservative candidate for Chessington South byelection

Long time Chessington resident and business owner, Sue Towner, has been chosen to be the Conservative candidate for the upcoming Kingston Council byelection in Chessington South ward.

Sue has lived locally for 30 years where she started a successful accounting business. As a committee member of the Chessington and District Residents Association, she is ideally placed to represent the residents of Chessington South and Malden Rushett.

Sue Towner was chosen unanimously by the selection committee who were impressed with her local connections and passion for the local area. The byelection is due to take place on Thursday 6th May 2021 following a councillor resignation.

On hearing of her selection, Sue Towner said: “I’m delighted to be selected and look forward to talking to as many local residents as possible in the coming months. We are the forgotten end of the borough, starved of funding and blighted by inappropriate planning applications. I’m determined to make a positive difference and be a strong voice for the residents of Chessington South and Malden Rushett.”
