Biography

Educated at Whitgift School, Croydon. 40-year career in local government Social Services Depts of Croydon, Wesminster and Lambeth Councils before taking early retirement in 2005. Lived in Kingston for 17 years. Other interests - sport, especially Rugby Union. Active referee, and Vice President of Surrey RFU. Committee of the Friends of Kingston Hospital, Treasurer and Presenter on Kingston Hospital Radio, and one of the readers of the Kingston Talking Newspaper for the Blind. Married to Sheila, with one adult son and two grandchildren.
