Mick has been a Councillor in Old Malden Ward for the past 4 years. In 1994 he was elected in St James which he held for 8 years until 2002. He then stood for Old Malden ward and was elected in 2006. His interests are in housing and youth work and all other matters in the Ward.
He is now retired after working for 49 years for a well known supermarket chain. Mick runs a ward surgery at the Old Malden Housing Group every first Saturday in the month.
David Fraser moved to New Malden 34 years ago with his wife and four children. He qualified as a social worker 40 years’ ago and is a Director of Social Services in Scotland. Currently he is a Mental Health Social Worker and with this expertise has been able to assist and advise many residents about their benefit rights.
Several years ago David fought hard with a campaign to prevent Hobkirk Day Centre from closing, after a hard battle to keep it open, the Lib Dem closed it.
At thirty-years old, Kate has lived in the Borough since 2001 and commutes into London everyday. She worked for five years at Kingston Council, has more recently worked doing planning development consultations, and now works in the nuclear industry.
Kate has actively campaigned on stopping the closure of our local Post Offices including the Old Malden Post Office. She has a passion for planning and wants to encourage better design in our future new buildings.
