Councillor Karen George

Karen has lived in Surbiton since 2001, including 3 years in Berrylands. She graduated from UCL in 1995 with a degree in Russian. She has lived and worked in France, Australia and Moscow and has been running her own recruitment business based in Holborn for 10 years.

In her spare time Karen likes to keep fit walking her dog, a miniature Schnauzer, in Richmond Park and is an active member of Surbiton Tennis Club in Berrylands where she represents the club at matches both home and away.

Having been a lifelong Conservative voter, Karen joined the Kingston Conservative Party in 2005 and was selected to stand as a Councillor in Berrylands ward last year.

She was elected on 6th May 2010.
