Conservative Council approves new One Public Service

Kingston’s Conservative Council are integrating the local Jobs Centre Plus with the Council’s Information and Advice Centre.

As part of the plans, residents will experience an improved access to a range of public services in a modern friendly environment.

This is part of a new approach where residents have a single public service contact centre across Kingston. The Council will continue to look at other services that can co-locate like this, and hope in the future to have a flagship Public Service contact centre.

Cllr Kevin Davis, Leader of the Council said:

The move to join the Job Centre Plus with the Council allows the Council to provide greater assistance to residents when it is needed the most. The One Public Service approach will help the Council in improving its services, making them fit for purpose.
