Save Tudor Library
Lib Dems plan to close Tudor Library
Dear Supporter,

The Lib Dem run Council have chosen, as part of their savage budget cuts, to close Tudor Ward Library.

The Conservative Councillors in that area have decided to fight this closure and have started an online petition against the decision.

They need your support in this and have asked that all those who can to log on to the petition website and sign the petition.

The petition can be found at:
http://epetitions.kingston.gov.uk/view_backgroundinfo.asp?PetitionID=91 >

Thank you for your help.
Kevin Davis

Update

Dear Supporter,

There must have been 250 people at Tudor Ward Library today. Thanks to all of you that were able to come along.

As forecast by many of you, Suzan Kramer said that she had a meeting with Derek Osbourne who had agreed to go to the Lib Dem Group on Monday and propose that the Library should be reinstated.

Obviously the campaign will continue until it is confirmed, not just at the Executive on Tues, but at full Council on the 28th. People are in no doubt who is responsible for the proposal to close the Library.

However I do not underestimate Derek Osborne and he may yet have a sting in the tail e.g. What might he propose in lieu of closing the Library!

Regards,
Cllr David Cunningham
