Hogsmill Development Alert

February 4, 2010  |  Development, News, St Marks

The council is asking residents in the Hogsmill area whether they want another 800 bed student hall to be built next to the existing student accommodation there.

The council’s favourite option involves building accommodation for 800 students, next to the sewage works and on Metropolitan Open Land, or MOL.

There are a few areas of MOL in our ward, including the Filter Beds next to the Thames. MOL is like Greenbelt and is supposed to be protected with no building.

We are very concerned that the council seems to want to push ahead with allowing this development against the wishes of local people. Get in touch with us if you’re concerned too.
