Councillor Geoff Austin, supported by fellow Conservative Candidates Andrea Craig and Hamish Pritchard joined the recent protest against the introduction of parking charges in Richmond Park. We oppose these charges because of the increased congestion that will result in nearby roads on Sundays as visitors try to avoid paying for parking.

Local residents visiting the Park every day could pay up to £365 a year in parking fees. Labour Minister Margaret Hodge said ‘They can afford this.’ We think it’s just a further example of another Labour Stealth Tax.
