After nearly nine months of being used as a diversion for buses and other heavy vehicles during road works, the surface of Brunswick Road resembled a medieval trackway. Councillor Geoff Austin demanded that the resurfacing of the road became a number one priority on the Council’s Highways Dept list of projects, and he is pictured here with two delighted local residents admiring the recently restored road surface.
